Last week, I received a call from a Chief Information Officer (CIO) of a media and advertising company. He was in a tight spot: he needed to present an AI strategy to his CEO in just a few days. While the company hadn’t officially allocated resources for this initiative, he still wanted to ensure his strategy was solid. As we talked, it became clear that he had pieced together the strategy using his general knowledge but lacked the backing of a specialist to confidently support his conclusions. He needed assurance that he was on the right track, and he needed it fast.
Understanding his urgency, I offered to help—no charge, no strings attached. He sent me his presentation, and my partner and I reviewed it. It wasn't bad; in fact, it was a good high-level overview that covered various departments and relevant aspects. However, there were critical gaps, particularly around integrating AI tools effectively, prioritizing areas of focus, and leveraging the full potential of Generative AI for automation and scalability.
We arranged a 30-minute call. I shared insights, showed him some demos, and provided supporting material. The CIO was genuinely grateful, mentioning that our conversation gave him the confidence he needed for his upcoming presentation. He appreciated the guidance, noting how rare it is to find someone you can trust to consult on such a complex and rapidly evolving subject. I reassured him that if he encountered more challenges in the coming weeks, he could reach out to me directly.
This interaction reminded me that many CIOs face similar challenges. In the past, it was straightforward to know which consulting firm to turn to for expertise in areas like cybersecurity, communication, or cloud services. But with AI, it's become harder to distinguish between those with genuine expertise and those just making a sales pitch. At Autom8Labs, we believe in building trust by offering real support, even if it’s just for a quick call to help someone in need.
For us, it’s about being more than just a provider. It’s about being a trusted partner who listens, understands, and offers reliable solutions.
